Allfinanz Golfplatz Brunnwies

Haarbach

average rating is 4 out of 5

Allfinanz Golfplatz Brunnwies is one of the standout courses at Quellness & Golf Resort Bad Griesbach in Lower Bavaria, combining generous fairways with rolling countryside and superb panoramic views. Designed by Bernhard Langer, it was his first course at Bad Griesbach and remains one of the resort’s most popular layouts.

The course has 18 holes, with the white tees playing to 6,114 metres and a par of 71. From the yellow tees it measures 5,689 metres and plays to par 70. Wide fairways and large, hand-mown greens give the course a welcoming feel, but strategic bunkering, elevation changes and carefully positioned hazards mean stronger players still have to think their way around.

The landscape is a big part of the experience. Brunnwies moves through the gently rolling hills of Lower Bavaria, an area sometimes described as the “Bavarian Tuscany” because of its attractive farmland, woodland and wide views. The resort particularly highlights holes 2, 7, 17 and 18 for their scenery.

Practice facilities include a driving range, pitching and chipping area and putting green, alongside a small golf shop. The hilltop Gutshof Brunnwies provides food and drinks after the round and gives the course a relaxed, traditional Bavarian atmosphere.

Brunnwies also works brilliantly as part of a longer Bad Griesbach golf holiday. The wider resort includes the Beckenbauer, Porsche, St. Wolfgang Uttlau and Lederbach courses, allowing golfers to build a varied multi-course itinerary without travelling far between rounds.

We recommend Allfinanz Golfplatz Brunnwies for mixed-handicap groups looking for a scenic championship course that is playable without feeling easy. The broad fairways make it forgiving enough for holiday golf, while the slopes, greens and strategic hazards keep better players interested.

About The Area

Haarbach is a peaceful Lower Bavaria base for golfers who want resort-style golf, countryside scenery and proper relaxation after a round. Set close to Bad Griesbach, it sits right in one of Germany’s strongest golf regions, making it ideal for players who want plenty of course choice without the busy feel of a city break.

The big appeal is its connection to Quellness Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, described as Europe’s largest golf resort, with 10 varied golf courses, golf hotels and estate houses across the region. The wider resort offers five 18-hole championship courses, three 9-hole courses and two 6-hole practice facilities, with the courses only a short drive apart.

Haarbach is especially useful for golfers because Brunnwies, one of the resort’s best-known courses, is located here. It was the first Bad Griesbach course designed by Bernhard Langer and is often praised for its mature Bavarian setting, strategic layout and peaceful countryside feel. Nearby, Golfclub Sagmühle adds another 18-hole option, with a riverside setting, visitor access and a welcoming clubhouse.

Away from the fairways, Haarbach works well for golfers who like a slower pace. Bad Griesbach is known for its golf and wellness hotels, thermal baths, spa facilities and relaxed Bavarian surroundings, so this is a destination where the after-golf experience matters too.

For UK golfers, Haarbach is ideal as part of a tailor-made Germany golf holiday, combining varied golf, spa time and the quiet charm of rural Bavaria. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right courses, hotels and travel route.
