Carya Golf Club
Belek
Carya Golf Club is one of Belek’s most distinctive championship courses, bringing the character of classic English heathland golf to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Set across rolling sandy ground within a mature pine forest, the course combines heather-lined fairways, strategic bunkering, water hazards and views towards the Taurus Mountains.
Designed by Thomson Perrett & Lobb, the architectural team associated with five-time Open Champion Peter Thomson, the 18-hole, par-72 course measures 6,605 metres from the championship tees. Four teeing options allow golfers to select a suitable challenge, making Carya enjoyable for mixed-handicap groups while still providing a serious test for experienced players.
The layout rewards thoughtful positioning rather than power alone. Its undulating fairways offer different routes from the tee, but 75 bunkers and four lakes affecting seven holes are ready to punish overly ambitious shots. Finding the correct side of the fairway is often essential for creating a clear angle into the greens, while the risk-and-reward par-five 15th presents an exciting opportunity for golfers confident enough to attack in two.
Carya is particularly famous for becoming Europe’s first golf course with all 18 holes fully floodlit. Night golf offers a completely different experience and allows players to follow the flight of the ball under powerful lighting, making it especially appealing during Belek’s warmer summer months.
Practice facilities include a 340-metre, double-ended driving range, teaching studios, TrackMan analysis and extensive putting, chipping and pitching areas. The club has also hosted the Turkish Airlines Open on three occasions, adding strong international tournament pedigree.
After golf, players can enjoy food and drinks at the clubhouse terrace overlooking the closing holes. Away from the course, Belek offers Mediterranean beaches, luxury spas and resort restaurants, while the Roman theatre at Aspendos and the ancient town of Side make excellent cultural trips between rounds.

About The Area
Belek is one of Europe’s strongest golf holiday destinations, especially for UK golfers looking for sunshine, excellent hotels and a huge choice of courses in one easy resort area. Set on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast near Antalya, it is purpose-built for golf holidays, with luxury all-inclusive resorts, beach clubs, spas, restaurants and transfers that make the whole trip feel simple from the moment you land.
Golf is the main event here. Belek is recognised as a global golf destination, with 10 golf clubs and 15 international-standard courses, plus year-round play and hundreds of thousands of rounds played each year. Big-name options include Carya Golf Club, a heathland-style course set in pine forest and famous for floodlit golf, where the lights are designed so players can follow the ball as they would in daylight. Antalya Golf Club adds the popular Pasha and PGA Sultan courses, with the Sultan offering a par-71, 6,477-metre championship test designed by European Golf Design and David Jones.
Away from the fairways, Belek works brilliantly for relaxed resort days, beach time, spa treatments and easy evenings around your hotel. It is also well placed for exploring Antalya, ancient ruins, waterfalls, boat trips and the wider Turkish Riviera.
For UK golfers, Belek is ideal for a tailor-made Turkey golf holiday, whether you want an all-inclusive group trip, a winter-sun golf break or a multi-course resort stay. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right hotel, tee times, transfers and extras.
