Majestic Creek Golf Club

Hua Hin

average rating is 4 out of 5

Majestic Creek Golf Club is one of the most enjoyable courses to include on a Hua Hin golf holiday, particularly if you like plenty of variety and a more peaceful countryside setting. Located around 25 minutes from central Hua Hin, the club sits amongst rolling terrain close to the mountains separating Thailand and Myanmar, giving the course a completely different atmosphere from the coastal layouts nearer town.

Designed by leading Thai golf architect Dr Sukitti Klangvisai, Majestic Creek offers 27 holes across three separate nine-hole courses: the Creek Course, Lake Course and Waterfall Course. Each nine plays to a par of 36 and can be combined with either of the others, so repeat rounds can feel very different. We particularly like this format for golfers staying in Hua Hin for several days, as there is much more variety than simply playing the same 18 holes again.

The Creek Course is a strong introduction to Majestic Creek. Streams and water hazards regularly influence your line, while the undulating fairways encourage you to think carefully about positioning. It is the sort of nine where keeping the ball in play and leaving yourself the correct angle into the green can be far more valuable than simply hitting driver at every opportunity.

The Lake Course is the longest of the three and brings larger stretches of water into the challenge. There are plenty of risk-and-reward decisions, particularly on the par 5s, and the closing ninth is a brilliant test. At more than 600 yards from the back tee, it asks for three well-planned shots with water waiting to punish anything too ambitious.

The Waterfall Course is arguably the most scenic of the three. It runs closer to the mountains and features more noticeable elevation changes, giving this nine a slightly different character. The standout hole is the par-3 fifth, where an elevated tee looks across towards the green with a waterfall forming part of the backdrop. It is one of those holes where we would definitely have the camera ready before reaching for a club.

Across all 27 holes, water is the main defence, supported by bunkering, sloping greens and the natural contours of the land. There is enough room for higher-handicap golfers to enjoy the course from the appropriate tees, while stronger players will find plenty of challenge when playing farther back.

Practice facilities include a grass driving range, putting greens and a dedicated chipping area, while the clubhouse provides changing facilities, a Pro Shop and somewhere to relax after your round. Accommodation is also available at Majestic Creek Country Club & Resort for golfers wanting to stay directly beside the course.

For a Hua Hin golf holiday that combines scenic surroundings, 27 varied holes and a quieter countryside setting, Majestic Creek Golf Club is well worth adding to the itinerary. Speak to our Golf Travel Experts at Hashtag Golf Travel and we can include Majestic Creek within a tailor-made Hua Hin golf holiday alongside the other leading courses in the region.

About The Area

Hua Hin has long been regarded as Thailand’s original seaside golf resort, combining royal heritage, relaxed coastal charm and one of the strongest clusters of championship courses in Southeast Asia. Located around three hours south of Bangkok, it offers a more refined and tranquil alternative to Pattaya while still delivering tournament-level golf.

The flagship venue is Black Mountain Golf Club, consistently ranked among Asia’s top courses. With dramatic rock formations, natural water hazards and immaculate conditioning, it has hosted multiple international tournaments and offers a true championship test. Nearby, Banyan Golf Club Hua Hin delivers panoramic mountain views, strategic bunkering and a memorable closing stretch that rewards precise approach play. Springfield Royal Country Club, designed by Jack Nicklaus, provides further variety with tree-lined fairways and a slightly more forgiving layout.

Golf in Hua Hin is characterised by wide fairways, bold bunkering and superb presentation. Caddie service is standard and enhances the premium feel, while practice facilities are strong across most clubs. The dry season from November to March offers the most comfortable playing conditions, with warm temperatures and lower humidity.

Off the course, Hua Hin maintains a relaxed seaside atmosphere. The night market is a highlight, offering fresh seafood and authentic Thai street food. Beachfront bars provide sunset views over the Gulf of Thailand, while nearby vineyards and national parks add scenic rest-day options. The town’s royal connections — including the historic Klai Kangwon Palace — give it a more understated and elegant feel compared to other Thai resort areas.

For golfers seeking elite championship layouts, dependable winter sunshine and a more relaxed coastal environment, Hua Hin delivers one of Thailand’s most complete and enjoyable golf escapes.
