La Torre Golf is an 18-hole resort course near Roldán in Spain’s Murcia region. Designed by Nicklaus Design, the par-68 layout combines broad fairways with large sculpted bunkers, lakes and palm-lined surroundings, creating an attractive but highly strategic round on the Costa Cálida.

Measuring 5,403 metres from the white tees, La Torre is shorter than many modern championship courses, but its difficulty comes from the positioning of its hazards and the design of its greens. Many of the putting surfaces have raised, turtleback-style contours that can reject an inaccurate approach and send the ball towards nearby bunkers or water. Each hole offers several teeing options, helping the course provide an enjoyable challenge for golfers of different abilities.

The wide fairways make La Torre approachable for mid- and higher-handicap players, particularly when playing from the forward tees. More experienced golfers will still need to think carefully about club selection and positioning, as attacking from the wrong part of the fairway can leave a difficult angle into the green. The course is particularly notable for its six par-three holes, several of which bring water, bunkers and out-of-bounds areas firmly into play.

Golfers also have access to a dedicated practice area, while the clubhouse provides a pro shop, changing facilities, a bar and restaurant. The beaches and shallow waters of the Mar Menor can be reached in around 20 minutes, while Murcia city is approximately 25 minutes away, allowing golfers to combine their rounds with time by the coast or sightseeing in the regional capital.
