Formerly known as PGA Catalunya, Camiral Golf is one of Spain’s most complete golf destinations. Set among pine forests near Girona, the resort brings together two distinctive 18-hole courses, extensive practice facilities and a PGA-backed academy. Camiral has also been selected to host the 2031 Ryder Cup.

Opened in 1999, the Stadium Course was designed under the guidance of Neil Coles and Ángel Gallardo. The par-72 layout can be stretched to approximately 7,333 yards and uses the estate’s natural elevation changes, woodland and lakes to create a demanding strategic test.

Landing areas narrow in the places longer hitters want to reach, while well-positioned trees, water hazards and heavily defended greens punish careless decisions. The lakeside par-five 3rd and downhill par-three 11th are memorable, but the signature par-four 13th is the defining challenge. Its narrowing fairway and severe slopes place a premium on both distance control and accuracy.

The Stadium has hosted the Spanish Open three times and the 2022 Catalunya Championship.

The Tour Course opened in 2005 and provides a more forgiving alternative without sacrificing strategic interest. Wider fairways and a shorter overall length make it especially suitable for mixed-handicap groups, although numerous bunkers, water hazards and sloping greens still demand careful course management.

Several par fives offer genuine risk-and-reward decisions, including the dogleg 7th, where powerful players can attempt to cut the corner over trees. The course has also co-hosted the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage on multiple occasions.

Camiral’s Golf Hub includes a natural-grass driving range with TrackMan technology, extensive short-game areas and a 2,000-square-metre putting and chipping green. Coaching is available through Spain’s PGA National Academy.
