Real Club de Golf El Prat is one of Spain’s most prestigious and versatile golf venues, offering 45 holes of championship golf in the peaceful Catalan countryside near Terrassa. Surrounded by woodland and rolling natural landscapes, the club provides a wonderfully quiet setting while remaining around 30 minutes from the centre of Barcelona.

Founded in 1912, the club moved to its current BonVilar estate in the early 2000s, where Greg Norman designed 45 holes that can be combined into several different course configurations. This gives visiting golfers excellent variety, making El Prat particularly suitable for golf groups planning multiple rounds during a stay in Barcelona.

The Pink-Open is the club’s best-known championship layout and has been used for major professional tournaments. Its narrow, technical opening nine rewards accurate driving, while the more demanding closing holes require creativity and confident recovery play. The Yellow Course has a more open character but becomes increasingly challenging on its longer back nine, especially when the wind strengthens. The Green Course provides another strategic test, with rolling ground, large bunkers, waste areas and well-protected greens placing importance on thoughtful positioning.

El Prat has hosted the Spanish Open on ten occasions, underlining its strong tournament pedigree. However, multiple teeing options and varied course combinations allow golfers of different abilities to enjoy the experience. The club also offers excellent practice facilities, including a 300-metre driving range and dedicated areas for putting, chipping and other short-game work.
