Fairplay Golf Course is an attractive 18-hole layout set beside Fairplay Golf & Spa Resort in the peaceful Cádiz countryside. Surrounded by the landscapes of Los Alcornocales Natural Park and overlooking the La Janda valley, it provides a quieter, more natural alternative to the busier golf resorts of the Costa del Sol. The course was designed by Baron Paul Rolin in 2002 and blends naturally into woodland filled with wild olive trees, pines, scrub oaks and Mediterranean vegetation.

Playing to a par of 73 and measuring 6,072 metres from the white tees, Fairplay offers an enjoyable challenge built around variety rather than relentless length. Water features more heavily across the front nine, asking golfers to think carefully about club selection and positioning. The back nine introduces elevated tees and broader views across the valley, giving the second half of the round a more open and scenic character. Fairways can appear inviting, but changes in elevation, undulating greens and thick vegetation beyond the main playing areas ensure that inaccurate shots are still punished.

The compact routing is particularly useful during a stay-and-play golf holiday, with short distances between many holes and the hotel located beside the course. Practice facilities include a driving range, two putting greens, a chipping green and three short holes for group coaching and warm-ups. Golfers also have access to an academy, equipment hire, changing rooms and a fleet of more than 30 buggies.

The course works well for mixed-handicap groups because it is playable from the tee without feeling straightforward, while stronger golfers must still control their approaches on the quick, shaped greens.
