Bernardus Lodge
Cromvoirt
Bernardus Lodge is an intimate golf retreat in Cromvoirt, set within the peaceful grounds of Bernardus Golf near ’s-Hertogenbosch. With just eight rooms and space for up to 16 guests, the lodge offers a much more personal experience than a traditional golf hotel. Its quiet countryside setting and immediate access to the championship course make it an excellent base for a luxury golf holiday in the Netherlands.
The accommodation consists of modern double rooms, each with a spacious private bathroom and a calm, contemporary design. Natural materials, soft colours and high-quality furnishings create a relaxed atmosphere, while the lodge’s small size helps the service feel attentive without becoming overly formal. Comfort and Superior room categories are available, making the property particularly suitable for couples, small groups and golf parties looking to reserve several rooms together.
Breakfast is served in the Lodge kitchen, providing guests with an easy and relaxed start before heading to the first tee. For lunch, lighter meals and post-round drinks, Bernardus Café offers sandwiches, salads and snacks inside or on its spacious terrace. Evenings can be spent at Michelin-starred Nami, where European and Asian influences come together through refined Nikkei cuisine in a stylish setting overlooking the estate.
Guests can make complimentary use of Bernardus’ wider leisure facilities throughout their stay. These include a gym, sauna, hammam and tennis court, together with a heated outdoor swimming pool that is normally open from April until October. Personal training sessions and relaxing massages can also be arranged, giving golfers several ways to unwind after their round.
Bernardus Lodge sits beside the Kyle Phillips-designed Bernardus Golf course, allowing guests to move easily between their room, the practice facilities, dining areas and the first tee. Accommodation is offered in combination with the Bernardus Day Membership experience, which can include access to the 18-hole course, driving range, short-game area, putting greens and the estate’s non-golf facilities. This arrangement creates a smooth stay-and-play experience without daily transfers or rushed journeys to the course.
The lodge also works well for non-golfing partners. While golfers take on the championship layout, other guests can enjoy the pool, wellness facilities, gym, tennis court or surrounding North Brabant countryside. The historic city of ’s-Hertogenbosch is nearby, offering canals, medieval streets, independent shops, restaurants and the impressive St John’s Cathedral. Vught and the woodland and sand dunes of Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park provide further options for days away from the course.
At Hashtag Golf Travel, we recommend Bernardus Lodge for golfers who prefer small, high-quality accommodation rather than a large resort hotel. The eight-room format creates a private and peaceful feel, while the course, dining and leisure facilities are all close at hand. It is especially well suited to couples, groups of friends and golfers planning a special Netherlands golf break around one of the country’s leading courses.

About The Area
Cromvoirt is a peaceful base for a golf holiday in North Brabant, combining one of the Netherlands’ leading championship courses with woodland, cycling routes and easy access to the historic city of ’s-Hertogenbosch. Eindhoven Airport is approximately 32 kilometres away by road, making the village a convenient option for a short European golf break from the UK.
The main attraction is Bernardus Golf, an 18-hole heathland-style championship course designed by Kyle Phillips, whose portfolio also includes Kingsbarns, The Grove and Yas Links. Sculpted bunkers, water hazards, heather and large, carefully contoured greens create a strategic test where golfers must think about positioning rather than simply hitting for distance.
Bernardus offers visiting golfers a complete day-club experience, with extensive practice facilities alongside dining, a gym, saunas and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Guests can also stay at Bernardus Lodge, allowing groups to combine their golf, accommodation and meals in one convenient location.
The course has hosted the Dutch Open and will welcome the Solheim Cup from 11–13 September 2026, when Europe and the United States meet in the Netherlands for the first time in the competition’s history.
Away from golf, Cromvoirt sits beside De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park, a landscape of woodland, heath and open sand dunes that is excellent for walking and cycling.
Nearby ’s-Hertogenbosch adds cobbled streets, cafés, museums and historic architecture. We recommend visiting Saint John’s Cathedral and taking a boat trip through the Binnendieze waterways beneath the medieval city centre.
Cromvoirt is particularly well suited to a premium golf break, combining tournament-quality golf with excellent facilities, Brabant hospitality and an attractive countryside setting.
