Bernardus Golf is an outstanding 18-hole championship course in Cromvoirt, close to ’s-Hertogenbosch in the southern Netherlands. Created as a modern heathland layout, the course combines sculpted dunes, heather, gorse, sweeping bunkers and carefully integrated water hazards. Despite its tournament pedigree, Bernardus was designed to remain enjoyable for golfers across a broad range of abilities.

The layout has the visual character of a traditional heathland course but has been shaped specifically for modern golf. Generous landing areas provide confidence from selected tees, while large bunkers, streams and expansive lakes encourage golfers to think carefully about position. Finding the correct section of the fairway often leaves a much clearer approach, whereas an inaccurate drive may bring water, sand or an awkward angle firmly into play.

Water is especially important on the closing stretch, where the course builds towards the par-five 18th. Measuring up to 525 metres, the final hole combines water, bunkering and undulating ground to create a memorable risk-and-reward finish. The four par threes also offer plenty of variety, ranging from the short eighth to the demanding 206-metre sixth from the championship markers.

Bernardus has already established itself as one of the Netherlands’ leading tournament venues. It hosted three editions of the Dutch Open and KLM Open between 2021 and 2023 and is scheduled to stage the Solheim Cup from 7–13 September 2026. Its compact layout, strong spectator areas and high-quality facilities make it particularly well suited to major professional events.

Practice facilities include a driving range with both mat and grass teeing areas, two putting greens maintained to match the speed of the course and a large short-game area. Golfers can practise bunker shots, uneven lies and shots from different grass lengths before beginning their round. Coaching is available through the Bernardus Golf Academy, while on-course food, drinks and equipment assistance are provided throughout the day.

Visitors play through Bernardus’ Day Membership system, which provides access to the course and its wider facilities.
