El Jadida Royal Golf Club offers one of Morocco’s most characterful coastal golf experiences, combining mature woodland with an unforgettable finish beside the Atlantic Ocean. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson and opened in 1993, the 18-hole, par-72 course measures approximately 6,117 metres. The layout was later renovated by James H. Duncan, with the work carefully preserving Robinson’s original character while refreshing the course for modern play.

What we particularly like about El Jadida Royal Golf Club is how much the experience changes as the round develops. The opening holes work through mature forest, where accuracy from the tee is important and the trees can quickly block your route into the greens. There are tempting opportunities to attack, but some of the apparent shortcuts can be deceptive, making sensible positioning a valuable part of the game.

The course becomes gradually more open as you move through the back nine, before the final stretch brings you right alongside the Atlantic. Holes 16, 17 and 18 are the real highlight, creating a links-style finish where the ocean breeze can completely change the way each hole plays. When the wind gets up, controlling trajectory and choosing the right club become just as important as distance.

We particularly enjoy the contrast between the sheltered forest holes and the exposed coastal finish. It gives the course a strong sense of progression and means you need to adapt your game throughout the round rather than simply playing the same type of shot again and again.
Practice facilities include a driving range with both grass and mat hitting areas, alongside a substantial putting green and short-game practice facilities. Club hire, trolleys, buggies and caddie services are also available, making the course easy to include for golfers travelling from the UK.
