Water is another major feature. The River Endre and a collection of lakes regularly influence your strategy, meaning this is not a course where we would automatically reach for the driver on every tee. There are plenty of opportunities to be aggressive, but good positioning and knowing when to play conservatively can save several shots across the round.

One hole that immediately gets your attention is the 2nd, where water and a dogleg to the right demand an accurate tee shot. The real signature comes at the 13th, a short par 3 played dramatically downhill from an elevated tee towards a green surrounded by water. It is one of those holes where the scenery encourages you to reach for the camera before the club, but you still need complete commitment once it is time to hit the shot.

The closing 18th is another highlight, finishing less than 50 metres from the panoramic clubhouse terrace. It is a great way to end the round, particularly when other golfers are already sitting outside watching the final groups come home.

Practice facilities are excellent, with a 20-position driving range including nine covered bays, alongside a putting green, chipping green and practice bunker. PGA professionals are available for individual and group tuition, making Saint Endréol a good option for golfers wanting to work on their game as part of the holiday.
