Opened in 1929, Golf Barrière Deauville offers 27 holes designed by Tom Simpson and Henry Cotton across approximately 70 hectares. The golf is divided between the Diane Barrière Course, an 18-hole, par-71 layout measuring 5,919 metres, and the Lucien Barrière Course, a nine-hole, par-36 course measuring 2,777 metres.

The Diane Barrière Course is the main championship test. At first glance it can look relatively welcoming, but the elevated coastal position means the sea breeze can quickly change the character of the round. Mature trees, changing elevations and well-defended greens reward golfers who control their ball and think carefully about positioning rather than simply chasing distance.

The Lucien Barrière nine provides a different challenge and is ideal for an additional round during a longer stay. Dense rough, quick greens and extensive bunkering mean it should not be underestimated, despite its shorter length. Having both layouts available gives you plenty of flexibility, whether you want a full championship round or another nine later in the day.

The club also has strong tournament pedigree, having previously hosted events including the Open de France and Ebel Match Play, while the venue has also welcomed the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. It is easy to understand why when you see the combination of strategic golf, mature surroundings and coastal views.

Practice facilities include a driving range with 20 covered bays, putting green, practice bunker and approach green. The range also features TopTracer technology, making it easy to work on distances, ball flight and accuracy before heading onto the course.
