Set within a peaceful 72-hectare estate near Rennes, Domaine de Cicé-Blossac Golf Course offers an attractive combination of parkland scenery, water features and resort-style facilities. The course lies beside the River Vilaine in Bruz, around 15 minutes from the centre of Rennes, making it a convenient choice for a golf holiday or a relaxed round during a wider break in Brittany.

Opened in 1992 and designed by the Macauley and Quenouille team, the 18-hole, par-72 course measures 6,117 metres from the white tees. Its layout moves through wooded areas, gently undulating ground and a series of lakes and ponds, creating an enjoyable visual setting while bringing plenty of strategic decisions into play.

The relatively generous fairways give golfers room from the tee, but water hazards, bunkers and well-positioned approaches mean accuracy remains important. Large greens add to the course’s spacious, almost American-style character, although thoughtful course management is still needed to score well. Different tee positions make the course suitable for a broad range of abilities, from improving golfers to experienced players looking for a challenging resort round.

Practice facilities include a 30-bay driving range, with covered and grass hitting areas, alongside a putting green and pitching green. Golf tuition, equipment hire and a pro shop are also available. After playing, golfers can make use of the wider Domaine de Cicé-Blossac resort, which includes a four-star hotel, spa and restaurant with a terrace overlooking the 18th green.
