Korineum Golf & Beach Resort

Kyrenia

average rating is 4 out of 5

Korineum Golf & Beach Resort sits between the Mediterranean and the Beşparmak mountain range near Esentepe, offering a peaceful base for a golf holiday in northern Cyprus. Surrounded by pine, olive and carob trees, the resort feels deliberately secluded, with its accommodation, championship golf course and leisure facilities gathered together in a setting designed primarily around relaxation and golf.

The boutique hotel has 86 rooms and suites, ranging from 31-square-metre Residence Rooms to spacious 67-square-metre Junior Suites. Depending on room category, guests can enjoy mountain, golf course or Mediterranean views, with many rooms also featuring balconies. The accommodation sits among the pine trees but remains within an easy walk of the clubhouse, swimming pool and golf facilities.

Away from the fairways, guests have plenty of ways to unwind. Korineum has an outdoor swimming pool, four clay tennis courts and a boutique spa with a sauna, relaxation areas and a selection of treatments including a particularly appropriate post-round sports massage. Its 70-metre private beach is 1.5 km from the main building and combines sand, grass and a pier, with a complimentary shuttle running for hotel guests.

Dining is spread across several venues. Clubbers Lounge serves casual food throughout the day, The Valley offers an à la carte menu, while Carob Island provides breakfast and evening buffets. Seasonal pool and beach bars add relaxed options during warmer months.

Golf is naturally the centrepiece, with the resort’s 18-hole course directly on site. Recent 2026 guests particularly praise the spacious rooms, friendly staff, golf facilities and mountain-and-sea setting, although Korineum’s secluded location makes it better suited to golfers wanting a resort-based break than those seeking nightlife every evening. Kyrenia can still be reached for its harbour, restaurants and historic centre when a change of scenery is wanted.

About The Area

Kyrenia is one of the most atmospheric bases for a Cyprus golf holiday, especially for golfers who like their trips to include sunshine, scenery and a bit of character away from the fairways. Set on the north coast, the town is best known for its beautiful harbour, waterfront cafés and Kyrenia Castle, which stands beside the port and gives the whole area a proper sense of history. The harbour’s old carob warehouses are now home to cafés and bars, while pleasure boats and gulets add to the relaxed Mediterranean feel.

The main golfing highlight is Korineum Golf & Beach Resort, located east of Kyrenia. Its 18-hole championship course is a par-72 layout measuring 6,232 metres, designed to suit a range of golfers while still offering a proper test. The setting is a huge part of the appeal, with sea and mountain views from every hole, plus olive and carob trees giving the course a natural Cypriot feel.

Away from golf, Kyrenia works well for couples and groups who want more than just resort time. You can explore the castle, enjoy harbourfront meals, take coastal boat trips, visit nearby beaches or head out towards Alagadi, known for turtle conservation.

For UK golfers, Kyrenia is ideal if you want a warm-weather golf escape with a slower pace, memorable views and plenty to enjoy after your round. Hashtag Golf Travel can help tailor the right Cyprus golf holiday around Kyrenia, Korineum and the wider northern coastline.
