Golfclub Zell am See - Kaprun - Saalbach
Zell am See
Golfclub Zell am See - Kaprun - Saalbach is one of Austria’s strongest alpine golf destinations, offering 36 holes in a spectacular setting between lake, mountains and glacier. Set close to Zell am See and Kaprun, the club gives golfers two 18-hole courses, Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn, with beautifully maintained greens, wide mountain views and a holiday feel from the first tee.
The two courses sit in mostly flat, park-like terrain, with natural biotopes, reed-fringed lakes and water features adding both scenery and challenge. That makes the golf enjoyable for a wide range of players, especially travelling golfers who want proper alpine scenery without a brutally hilly walk. The venue also has strong practice facilities, including a spacious practice area, chipping greens and practice bunkers, which is ideal for groups warming up before a multi-course Austrian itinerary.
For a golf holiday in Austria, Zell am See is a superb base. Golfers can enjoy two courses on-site, while the wider region offers lake activities, mountain lifts, spa hotels, restaurants and easy access to Kaprun and Saalbach. It works especially well for couples, groups and mixed holidays where not everyone wants golf every day.
Hashtag Golf Travel can help arrange the right flights, hotels, transfers and tee times, creating a smooth alpine golf escape with plenty to enjoy beyond the fairways.

About The Area
Haus im Ennstal is a strong alpine base for an Austria golf holiday, especially for travellers who want mountain views, fresh air and a quieter village feel close to Schladming. Set in the Schladming-Dachstein region, it gives golfers access to the Enns Valley, Dachstein scenery, Hauser Kaibling and plenty of summer activities such as hiking, cycling, archery, trail running and mountain lifts.
The main golf draw is Golfclub Schladming-Dachstein, formerly known as Dachstein Tauern Golf & Country Club, located in Haus im Ennstal. It is an 18-hole course designed by Bernhard Langer, sitting at around 750 metres above sea level. The course is known for excellent conditioning, sunny valley scenery and water features that give it a surprisingly resort-style feel for an alpine location.
For a wider itinerary, the Schladming-Dachstein area also gives access to other regional courses, including Schloss Pichlarn, Radstadt, Ennstal-Weissenbach and Windischgarsten, making Haus useful for golfers who want more than one round without moving hotels every night.
Away from golf, Haus im Ennstal works well for walkers, couples and mixed-interest groups. The Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card can include access to over 100 experiences, including mountain railway rides, museums, swimming pools and leisure activities, which is handy for non-golf days.
For Hashtag Golf Travel customers, Haus im Ennstal is best suited to a scenic summer alpine golf escape, a quieter alternative to Kitzbühel or Zell am See, or part of a wider Austria golf itinerary. It is not a nightlife-heavy destination, but for mountain scenery, peaceful hotels and a proper alpine course, it is a very good fit.
