Hashtag Golf Travel Celebrates a Fantastic Week at Elevate Golf 2026
It's been an incredible week for Hashtag Golf Travel, with our directors Daniel Albon and Neil Bird attending Elevate Golf 2026, one of the world's leading events for the luxury golf travel industry.
Held from 25–30 October across Northern Ireland and St Andrews, Scotland, the event brought together 230 suppliers and 230 international golf tour operators, generating an impressive 9,430 pre-arranged business meetings.
For us, Elevate is about much more than meetings. It's an opportunity to experience outstanding golf destinations first-hand, strengthen relationships with our existing partners and discover exciting opportunities for future Hashtag Golf Travel holidays.
From Northern Ireland to the Home of Golf
The week began with two nights at Galgorm Resort & Spa in Northern Ireland, where Dan and Neil enjoyed exceptional hospitality and rounds at two of the country's finest courses.
First was Ardglass Golf Club, famous for its spectacular clifftop setting overlooking the Irish Sea, followed by the world-renowned Royal County Down Golf Club.
Both courses provided a fantastic reminder of why Northern Ireland remains one of our favourite destinations for a links golf holiday.
The next stage involved something slightly unusual: a private charter flight with Jet2 from Belfast to Edinburgh.
Probably one of the shortest flights Dan has ever taken, but certainly a memorable way to travel between two fantastic golf destinations!

100 Meetings and Plenty of New Opportunities
Arriving in Scotland, the focus shifted to the business side of the event at Fairmont St Andrews.
Following another memorable round at St Andrews Links, Dan and Neil attended approximately 100 meetings across Thursday and Friday, connecting with golf courses, luxury hotels, resorts and tourism partners from around the world.
There were also networking receptions, gala dinners and plenty of opportunities to catch up with familiar faces across the industry.
One of the highlights of the closing celebrations was the presentation of a Special Recognition Award to Wilma Erskine, former secretary of Royal Portrush Golf Club, for her outstanding contribution to golf in Northern Ireland.

What Does This Mean for Our Customers?
This is why events like Elevate are so important to us.
At Hashtag Golf Travel, we believe the best recommendations come from genuine experience and strong relationships with the people who look after our customers.
Spending time at these resorts, playing the courses and meeting the teams behind them gives us knowledge that goes far beyond what we could learn from a brochure.
And with so many productive conversations throughout the week, we're excited about the opportunities these new and existing partnerships could bring for golf holidays in 2027 and 2028.

Looking Ahead to Elevate Golf 2027
Next year's event will begin at Trump Turnberry on Scotland's beautiful Ayrshire coast, home to the legendary Ailsa championship course.
Dan and Neil are already looking forward to returning.
A huge thank you to Tom Lovering, Leanne Thorpe and the entire Elevate Golf team for organising such an outstanding event, along with everyone who made the week so enjoyable.
The golf was fantastic, the hospitality was exceptional, and the conversations were even better.
Now comes the exciting part: turning those conversations into unforgettable golf holidays for our customers.
