Yas Links Abu Dhabi offers one of the Middle East’s most impressive coastal golf experiences, bringing the character and strategy of traditional links golf to the shores of Yas Island. Designed by acclaimed architect Kyle Phillips, it is regarded as the region’s first true links-style course and combines rolling fairways, native grasses, deep bunkers and wonderful views across the Arabian Gulf.

The 18-hole, par-72 championship course stretches to 7,461 yards from the back tees, with several teeing options allowing golfers to choose a suitable challenge. Its generous-looking fairways can be deceptive, as carefully shaped bunkers, sandy waste areas and coastal water hazards make positioning extremely important. Golfers who find the correct side of the fairway will enjoy better angles into the greens, while overly aggressive shots can leave difficult recoveries from sand or thick native grass.

Wind is a major part of the Yas Links experience. The exposed coastal setting can quickly change club selection and ball flight, rewarding players who are comfortable keeping the ball low and using the natural contours. The closing stretch is particularly memorable, with holes 16, 17 and 18 running beside the water and providing a demanding finish where accuracy and patience are essential.

Yas Links has hosted the Abu Dhabi Championship on the DP World Tour, giving visiting golfers the opportunity to play the same course used by many of the game’s leading professionals. Practice facilities include a floodlit Toptracer driving range, short-game areas, professional coaching and a nine-hole, par-27 Academy Course.
