National Golf Club

Belek

average rating is 5 out of 5

National Golf Club is one of Belek’s most historic and respected golfing venues, offering a traditional championship test among mature pine and eucalyptus forests. Opened in 1994 as Turkey’s first golf club, it helped establish Belek as the international golf destination it is today and remains a superb choice for golfers who appreciate strategic, tree-lined courses.

The 18-hole championship layout was designed by Ryder Cup player David Feherty and former European Tour professional David Jones. Gently rolling fairways weave through the woodland, with the Taurus Mountains creating a dramatic backdrop on clear days. Although the course has a peaceful and natural appearance, it demands concentration throughout the round.

Accuracy from the tee is particularly important. Sixty-four strategically positioned bunkers, ten lakes and mature trees can quickly punish golfers who choose an overly aggressive line. The course rewards players who shape their shots, select the correct side of the fairway and leave manageable approaches into the greens. Four teeing options make the layout accessible to different handicaps, while the championship tees provide a demanding test for confident golfers.

The final four holes are floodlit, allowing play to continue into the evening and adding something different to the Belek golf experience. National Golf Club also has an impressive tournament history, having hosted international professional events including the Turkish Senior Open and the Turkish Airlines Open.

Practice facilities include a 36-bay driving range, a large putting green and an extensive short-game area, with coaching available from PGA-qualified professionals. After golf, the traditional clubhouse restaurant and terrace provide an excellent place to enjoy Turkish and international food while overlooking the closing hole.

Away from the course, golfers can relax on Belek’s Mediterranean beaches, enjoy the spas and restaurants at the surrounding resorts or visit the remarkably preserved Roman theatre at Aspendos. Antalya’s historic old town and the ancient ruins of Side also make excellent additions to a longer golf holiday.

About The Area

Belek is one of Europe’s strongest golf holiday destinations, especially for UK golfers looking for sunshine, excellent hotels and a huge choice of courses in one easy resort area. Set on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast near Antalya, it is purpose-built for golf holidays, with luxury all-inclusive resorts, beach clubs, spas, restaurants and transfers that make the whole trip feel simple from the moment you land.

Golf is the main event here. Belek is recognised as a global golf destination, with 10 golf clubs and 15 international-standard courses, plus year-round play and hundreds of thousands of rounds played each year. Big-name options include Carya Golf Club, a heathland-style course set in pine forest and famous for floodlit golf, where the lights are designed so players can follow the ball as they would in daylight. Antalya Golf Club adds the popular Pasha and PGA Sultan courses, with the Sultan offering a par-71, 6,477-metre championship test designed by European Golf Design and David Jones.

Away from the fairways, Belek works brilliantly for relaxed resort days, beach time, spa treatments and easy evenings around your hotel. It is also well placed for exploring Antalya, ancient ruins, waterfalls, boat trips and the wider Turkish Riviera.

For UK golfers, Belek is ideal for a tailor-made Turkey golf holiday, whether you want an all-inclusive group trip, a winter-sun golf break or a multi-course resort stay. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right hotel, tee times, transfers and extras.
