Dave Thomas designed the 18-hole layout, which extends to approximately 6,247 metres from the back tees. The land rises and falls throughout the property, producing elevated drives, uneven stances and approaches where judging height is as important as choosing distance. Carefully shaped fairways, lakes, waterfalls and strategic bunkering give each section its own identity, while undulating greens reward an approach from the correct angle.

This is not a course to play on autopilot. Changes in elevation can disguise landing areas, and a downhill tee shot that looks generous may leave a demanding next shot if it finishes on the wrong side. Water hazards and protected putting surfaces encourage patience, particularly when the wind moves through the hills. Stronger golfers can attack more ambitious lines, but holiday players will usually score better by accepting the natural contours and keeping the ball in position.

The club deliberately limits play and spaces starting times at 12-minute intervals. That policy helps preserve a calm atmosphere and reduces the sense of being hurried around the course. Current handicap requirements and visitor conditions should be confirmed for the intended date, as access is controlled and tee times are normally concentrated within set hours.

Service continues in the clubhouse, where golfers can settle in after the round without rushing back to Marbella. The wider estate also includes riding facilities, reinforcing the private country-club feel.
