La Cala Golf is one of the Costa del Sol’s most complete golf destinations, offering three contrasting 18-hole championship courses in the rolling foothills of the Sierra de Mijas. All three layouts were designed by Cabell B. Robinson, giving golfers 54 holes of strategic mountain golf with sweeping views across the Andalusian countryside and towards the Mediterranean.

Campo América is a 6,009-metre, par-72 course with five par fives. Its broad fairways and relatively limited bunkering provide some freedom from the tee, but the hilly terrain, steep carries and small, raised greens make accurate club selection essential. Water guards the ninth and 16th holes, while dramatic elevation changes create some of La Cala’s finest views.

Campo Asia is the oldest and tightest of the three courses. Measuring 5,925 metres and playing to a par of 72, it places greater emphasis on precision, thoughtful positioning and accurate approach shots. Narrower playing corridors and risk-and-reward par fives make it a particularly rewarding challenge for experienced golfers.

Campo Europa offers the most approachable round for many holiday golfers. This 6,014-metre, par-71 layout has wider fairways, slightly flatter terrain and larger greens than its neighbours. However, the River Ojén comes into play on eight holes, ensuring water and course management remain important throughout the round.

La Cala also has an excellent Golf Hub with a grass and artificial-bay driving range, putting and chipping areas, club-fitting technology, professional coaching and a nine-hole par-three Short Course. With three full courses in one location, it is an ideal choice for golf groups wanting several varied rounds without arranging transfers between clubs.

After golf, players can relax at the clubhouse or visit the coast at La Cala de Mijas. The beaches and seafood restaurants are within easy reach, while whitewashed Mijas Pueblo and the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Marbella are excellent additions to a longer Costa del Sol golf holiday.
