For a luxury golf holiday in Saudi Arabia's capital, InterContinental Riyadh offers a rather unexpected escape from the city's busy streets. Set within nearly 100 acres of landscaped gardens on King Saud Road, this established five-star hotel combines elegant accommodation, extensive leisure facilities and its own nine-hole golf course. We think it's an excellent choice for golfers who want a comfortable city base with the added convenience of golf on their doorstep.

The hotel features 273 rooms and suites, decorated in a contemporary Arabian style, with spacious interiors and modern comforts. For an extra touch of luxury, Club InterContinental accommodation provides access to an exclusive lounge and personalised services. There's plenty to enjoy between rounds, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health club, spa facilities, tennis courts and a bowling club. The hotel's restaurants and lounges also provide inviting places to relax and enjoy a meal after a day exploring Riyadh.

One of the highlights is the on-site Palms Golf Club, a nine-hole course that's particularly well suited to a relaxed round or some short-game practice. While it's not a substitute for a full championship layout, we like the flexibility it offers guests looking to fit extra golf around their holiday. For more demanding rounds, Riyadh Golf Club and Dirab Golf & Country Club are both excellent additions to a multi-course itinerary.

We'd recommend InterContinental Riyadh to couples, groups and golfers who want to combine quality accommodation with the capital's growing golf scene. Beyond the fairways, explore historic Diriyah, discover Riyadh's museums and enjoy the city's restaurants. It's a versatile base for a tailor-made Saudi Arabia golf holiday with Hashtag Golf Travel.
