Cap Estate Golf & Country Club
Gros Islet
Cap Estate Golf & Country Club is the main championship golf course in Saint Lucia and a great option for UK golfers who want to add a proper round of golf to a Caribbean holiday. Set in the scenic Cap Estate area in the north of the island, close to Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island, the course offers a peaceful tropical setting with sea views, lush hillsides and plenty of Caribbean character.
The course is an 18-hole, par-71 layout measuring around 6,744 yards, with dramatic elevation changes, ponds, tropical vegetation and a good mix of shot-making challenges. It was redesigned in collaboration with Greg Norman and reopened in 2021, giving the course a stronger modern resort-golf feel while keeping the natural island landscape at the heart of the round.
For golfers staying at Sandals resorts in Saint Lucia, Cap Estate is especially convenient, with complimentary green fees and transfers included for Sandals guests. That makes it a useful choice for couples who want a luxury all-inclusive holiday where golf can be built easily into the trip.
This is not a multi-course golf destination like Belek or the Algarve, but that is part of its charm. Cap Estate works best as a relaxed Caribbean golf experience: warm weather, island views, a few enjoyable rounds and plenty of beach, food and exploring either side of the golf. For a Saint Lucia golf holiday with sunshine and scenery, it is the island’s key course to play.
