The Silver Coast Golf Club

Turcifal

average rating is 4 out of 5

The Silver Coast Golf Club at Dolce CampoReal Lisboa offers a memorable countryside golf experience among the rolling hills, wooded valleys and vineyards of Portugal’s Oeste region. Situated near Torres Vedras, the course provides a peaceful alternative to Lisbon’s busier coastal layouts while remaining within comfortable travelling distance of the capital and its international airport.

Designed by respected British architect Donald Steel, the 18-hole, par-72 course follows the natural shape of the protected Socorro and Archeira Mountains landscape. Measuring just over 6,000 metres from the back tees, it features considerable elevation changes, elevated teeing areas and undulating greens that make accurate distance judgement particularly important.

The course begins and finishes with par-five holes, while the routing moves through valleys and across higher ground to create a varied and visually impressive round. Golfers will need to manage uphill and downhill shots, uneven lies and changing angles into the greens. Power can certainly help, but good positioning, sensible club selection and confident approach play are likely to have a greater impact on the scorecard. Due to the hilly terrain, we recommend hiring a buggy or electric trolley.

Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping greens and putting greens, while the clubhouse provides a comfortable place to relax after the round. The course’s location within Dolce CampoReal Lisboa makes it particularly convenient for golf holidays, with accommodation, restaurants, bars, the Amai Spa and indoor and outdoor swimming pools available at the resort.

There is also plenty to explore beyond the golf course. Guests can visit the historic town of Torres Vedras, enjoy fresh seafood beside the Atlantic or spend time on the beaches around Santa Cruz and Porto Novo. The beautifully preserved medieval town of Óbidos is another excellent day-trip option, while Lisbon’s restaurants, historic neighbourhoods and nightlife are close enough for an evening or full day in the city.

About The Area

Turcifal is a brilliant choice for golfers who want a Portugal golf holiday close to Lisbon, but with a quieter countryside feel. Set near Torres Vedras in the Oeste region, it offers rolling hills, vineyards, fresh air and easy access to both the capital and the Silver Coast. Dolce CampoReal Lisboa describes the resort as being in the protected landscape of the Socorro and Archeira Mountains, around half an hour from Lisbon.

The main golfing highlight is CampoReal Golf Course, an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Donald Steel. The course crosses protected countryside, with valley views, vineyards and the Serra do Socorro and Archeira scenery shaping the round. It is a strong fit for golfers who enjoy a course with natural movement, strategic shot-making and a more peaceful resort feel than the busier Algarve.

Away from the fairways, Turcifal works well for a relaxed Lisbon Coast golf break. Torres Vedras adds history, local restaurants and the famous Lines of Torres Vedras heritage, while Santa Cruz offers a long sandy beach, Atlantic scenery and surf-friendly waves within easy reach.

For UK golfers, Turcifal is ideal if you want golf, spa time, countryside calm and the option to add Lisbon, Sintra, Ericeira or Óbidos into the itinerary. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right hotel, tee times, transfers and wider Portugal golf holiday around how you want the trip to feel.
