CUS Ferrara Golf is an 18-hole parkland course on the northern edge of Ferrara in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. Unusually for a full-length course, it sits within the city’s urban park and is less than 500 metres from Ferrara’s historic centre and Renaissance walls. This gives golfers a peaceful, green setting while keeping the restaurants, architecture and cultural attractions of the city within easy reach.

The course plays to a par of 68 and measures approximately 5,440 metres. Although relatively short by modern standards, its narrow playing corridors, mature trees, hedges, bunkers and water hazards mean accuracy is often more useful than outright distance. The flat terrain makes the course comfortable to walk, but golfers must still think carefully about positioning from the tee and finding the correct angles into the greens.

Several longer par fours and demanding par fives provide a strong test for experienced players, while the closing holes become noticeably tighter and can quickly spoil a promising score. Its moderate length and different teeing options also help make the course approachable for improving golfers and mixed-ability groups.

Practice facilities include an 18-bay driving range with covered positions, together with putting, pitching and chipping greens and a practice bunker. Golf tuition, trolley and buggy hire are available, while the wider university sports centre includes tennis courts and a gym. The clubhouse provides changing rooms, a bar and a restaurant for refreshments after the round.

The course is open throughout the year and works particularly well as part of an Emilia-Romagna golf holiday, with Bologna, Ravenna, the Po Delta and the Adriatic coast all accessible from Ferrara.
