Adriatic Golf Club Cervia

Milano Marittima

average rating is 4 out of 5

Adriatic Golf Club Cervia is a distinctive 27-hole golf venue on Italy’s Adriatic coast, set beside the centuries-old pine forest of Milano Marittima and less than one kilometre from the beach. Spread across almost 100 hectares, the course combines woodland, lakes and open coastal terrain, giving golfers three contrasting nine-hole loops to enjoy during a stay in Emilia-Romagna.

The Red Course was designed by Marco Croze and opened in 1986. Its holes run through the unspoilt pine forest, where tree-lined playing corridors place a premium on accuracy and sensible positioning. The following year, Croze completed the Blue Course, which has a more open, American-inspired character, with lakes and water hazards creating much of the challenge.

The Yellow Course was added in 2004 and designed by Alvise Rossi Fioravanti in collaboration with Italian professional golfer Baldovino Dassù. Its more modern layout takes inspiration from traditional Scottish links golf, adding another style of play to the club’s already varied offering. The three loops can be combined to create different 18-hole rounds measuring between approximately 6,131 and 6,327 metres, with a par of either 71 or 72 depending on the combination played.

Adriatic Golf Club Cervia has hosted several major Italian competitions, including the Italian Professional Championship and the 2024 Italian Open. Despite its championship credentials, multiple course combinations and teeing options allow visiting golfers of different abilities to find an enjoyable test.

Practice facilities include a driving range, pitching and chipping greens, two putting greens and three short executive holes. Golfers can also use the academy, pro shop, equipment hire, buggy and electric trolley services. The clubhouse features changing rooms, a bar and a restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the courses.
