Golfodrom ®

Haarbach

average rating is 4 out of 5

Golfodrom® sits at the heart of the golf experience in Bad Griesbach, giving golfers one of the most complete practice and short-course set-ups we have come across in Europe. For anyone building a golf holiday around improvement, relaxed golf or a quick extra round alongside the resort’s championship courses, the three 9-hole layouts here are a brilliant addition.

The Golfodrom® is home to Engled, Jagl and Pfeiffer, three very different short courses that make it easy to mix up your golf during a stay. Engled is the longest of the three and gives you a little more room to open the shoulders, with a mixture of par 3s and par 4s that makes it feel more like a compact full course than a simple practice layout. It is a great option if you want a quick round while still testing different clubs throughout the bag.

Jagl is the one we would choose if you want the most character. The course moves over more undulating ground and brings water, bunkers and elevation changes into play, so it asks for a bit more thought than its short yardage might suggest. It is particularly good for sharpening approach play and distance control, and the changing lies make it useful practice before taking on Bad Griesbach’s longer courses.

Pfeiffer is the shortest option and is made up entirely of par 3s. That makes it ideal for working on iron play, wedge control and accuracy into the greens. Beginners will find it approachable, while better golfers can use it to turn their short game into a proper scoring test rather than simply hitting balls on the range.

The practice facilities are a major reason to include Golfodrom® in a Bad Griesbach golf holiday. The huge 360-degree driving range offers more than 200 hitting positions, with covered and heated bays available, alongside putting greens, pitching and chipping areas, practice bunkers and indoor training options. Coaching is also a big part of the set-up, making this an excellent base for golfers who want to combine a holiday with lessons or focused practice.

Staying in Bad Griesbach gives you easy access to the wider golf resort, including five 18-hole championship courses and a choice of golf-friendly hotels with spa and wellness facilities. That combination makes Golfodrom® especially useful for groups with mixed abilities, couples who want a more relaxed golf break, or anyone looking to improve their game while enjoying one of Germany’s most established golf destinations.

About The Area

Haarbach is a peaceful Lower Bavaria base for golfers who want resort-style golf, countryside scenery and proper relaxation after a round. Set close to Bad Griesbach, it sits right in one of Germany’s strongest golf regions, making it ideal for players who want plenty of course choice without the busy feel of a city break.

The big appeal is its connection to Quellness Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, described as Europe’s largest golf resort, with 10 varied golf courses, golf hotels and estate houses across the region. The wider resort offers five 18-hole championship courses, three 9-hole courses and two 6-hole practice facilities, with the courses only a short drive apart.

Haarbach is especially useful for golfers because Brunnwies, one of the resort’s best-known courses, is located here. It was the first Bad Griesbach course designed by Bernhard Langer and is often praised for its mature Bavarian setting, strategic layout and peaceful countryside feel. Nearby, Golfclub Sagmühle adds another 18-hole option, with a riverside setting, visitor access and a welcoming clubhouse.

Away from the fairways, Haarbach works well for golfers who like a slower pace. Bad Griesbach is known for its golf and wellness hotels, thermal baths, spa facilities and relaxed Bavarian surroundings, so this is a destination where the after-golf experience matters too.

For UK golfers, Haarbach is ideal as part of a tailor-made Germany golf holiday, combining varied golf, spa time and the quiet charm of rural Bavaria. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right courses, hotels and travel route.
