Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche
Échenevex
Set at the foot of the Jura mountains, just across the border from Geneva, Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche offers a scenic and refined golf experience with views towards Mont Blanc. Although located in France, its proximity to Geneva makes it a strong option for Lake Geneva and Swiss Riviera golf itineraries.
The club features 27 holes, made up of the main 18-hole Les Sources Course and the 9-hole Allondon Course. Les Sources is the championship layout, measuring around 6,136 metres from the back tees and playing to a par 72. Designed by Olivier Dongradi and Peter Harradine, it uses undulating terrain, natural woodland, water hazards and strategic bunkering to create a thoughtful test.
Fairways are reasonably generous in places, but wayward shots can quickly find trees, rough or water, so accuracy still matters. The course has a natural, members’ club feel rather than a resort-style atmosphere, making it best suited to golfers who enjoy traditional layouts, quiet surroundings and proper course management.
Its location close to Geneva Airport makes Maison Blanche especially useful for arrival or departure rounds, or as part of a wider Geneva, Lausanne and Lake Geneva golf holiday.

About The Area
Échenevex is a lovely choice for golfers who want a French golf holiday with mountain scenery, fresh air and easy access to Geneva. Set in the Pays de Gex, at the foot of the Jura Mountains, it gives you a peaceful countryside base with a very handy travel link, as Geneva Airport is only around 15 minutes away.
The main golfing highlight is Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche, founded in 1992 in Échenevex. The club offers 27 holes, including the 18-hole championship course, Les Sources, and the 9-hole Allondon course, which is a par-31 layout. Les Sources is described as technical and varied, with impressive views close to Geneva, making it a strong option for golfers who want quality golf without staying in a busy city.
Away from the fairways, Échenevex works beautifully as part of a wider Jura, Geneva or Lake Geneva golf break. The Pays de Gex–Monts Jura area is known for unspoilt countryside, authentic heritage and hiking trails, while nearby Monts Jura adds mountain activities, viewpoints and Alpine-style scenery. Geneva, Lake Geneva, Divonne-les-Bains and the Haut-Jura countryside are all easy additions, giving the trip plenty of variety.
For UK golfers, Échenevex is ideal for a tailor-made France golf holiday with a calm, scenic feel and very smooth airport access. Hashtag Golf Travel can help plan the right hotel, tee times, transfers and wider itinerary around Échenevex, Geneva and the Jura region.
