Built in 1992 and designed by the Golf Partnership, the championship course plays to a par of 70. The current white-tee scorecard measures 6,293 yards, with alternative tees allowing golfers to choose a more suitable challenge. Each hole has its own character, with doglegs, strategically positioned bunkers, tree-lined fairways and water hazards regularly influencing shot selection. The greens have been constructed to USGA specifications and provide another important part of the course's challenge.

Water features prominently at several points during the round. The par-five 5th is a good example, with water coming into play from the tee and another pond positioned beside the green to catch inaccurate approaches. Elsewhere, more open fairways are often bordered by longer rough, while mature trees narrow the preferred lines from many of the tees. This combination means players are regularly encouraged to think about position rather than simply reaching for the driver.

Puckrup Hall also provides a memorable finish. The 18th is a 200-yard par three from the white tees, with trees to the right and a lake positioned between the tee and a heavily bunkered green. It creates a demanding final shot and is one of the course's most distinctive holes.

The quality of the layout has seen Puckrup Hall host the West Region PGA Championship as well as regional county events, giving the course established competitive credentials while retaining the welcoming feel of a resort course.

Golfers can also prepare for their round using the club's practice facilities. These include an eight-bay covered practice range, divided between long-game and short-game bays, alongside a chipping green and practice bunker. Coaching is available through the Puckrup Hall Golf Academy for players wanting to work more closely on their game.
