Carden Park Golf Resort
Chester
Set within a 1,000-acre country estate near Chester, Carden Park Golf Resort is one of the North West’s most complete stay-and-play golf venues. The resort combines hotel accommodation, spa facilities, restaurants, leisure activities and two championship golf courses, making it a strong choice for UK golf breaks, societies and group trips.
The golf offering is split between the Nicklaus Course and the Cheshire Course. The Nicklaus Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Steve Nicklaus, is a par-72 resort layout measuring around 7,000 yards, with water features, risk-and-reward holes and several strategic choices from the tee.
The Cheshire Course offers a slightly different challenge, with tree-lined holes, tighter tee shots, well-placed bunkers and more of a traditional parkland feel. It is often seen as the more technical of the two, rewarding accuracy and steady course management rather than just distance.
Away from the course, Carden Park has a full resort feel, with spa and leisure facilities, dining options and plenty to do on the wider estate. Its location near Chester, and within reach of Manchester and Liverpool airports, makes it especially useful for short breaks and travelling groups.

About The Area
Warrington is a very practical North West golf base, especially for groups who want easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Cheshire. It is not a classic resort destination, but it works brilliantly as a central hub for a golf weekend, society trip or value-led short break.
The main local course is Warrington Golf Club, based at Hill Warren in Appleton. The club has a clear visitor setup, with green-fee packages, society options, bar and catering facilities, and a reputation for welcoming returning visitors. For a more relaxed extra round, Poulton Park Golf Club offers a 9-hole course with 18 tees in Warrington and states that visitors are always welcome.
Away from golf, Warrington has plenty to fill a trip. Walton Hall and Gardens is one of the main local attractions, while the town also gives access to parks, shopping, food, TeamSport indoor karting and wider Cheshire days out. For groups staying a little longer, Chester Zoo, Tatton Park, Delamere Forest, Manchester and Liverpool are all realistic add-ons.
For Hashtag Golf Travel customers, Warrington works best as a North West society base, a practical multi-course golf weekend, or a golf-and-activities break with strong road links, two major airports nearby and plenty to do between rounds.
