Links Course at Casa De Campo

La Romana

average rating is 4 out of 5

Set within the wider Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in La Romana, The Links is one of three Pete Dye-designed courses at the resort, alongside Teeth of the Dog® and Dye Fore. It offers a slightly more forgiving but still thoughtful Casa de Campo golf experience, making it a strong option for mixed-ability groups, resort guests and golfers who want another quality round during a Dominican Republic golf holiday.

The course is an 18-hole Pete Dye layout that winds through the resort’s green interior, with views of the Caribbean Sea from several holes. Wide fairways make it more playable than some of Dye’s more intimidating designs, but the challenge comes from approach play, sculpted bunkers, hilly fairways, tall Bahia grass and tricky, undulating greens.

Playing from just over 7,000 yards from the back tees, The Links has enough length and strategy to keep confident golfers engaged, while still being one of the most accessible courses at Casa de Campo. It works especially well as a second or third round alongside the headline Teeth of the Dog® and the dramatic Dye Fore, giving golfers a fuller sense of Pete Dye’s work across the resort.

Away from the course, guests have access to Casa de Campo’s wider resort facilities, including accommodation, dining, beach areas, marina, spa, sports facilities and the Golf Learning Center. Tee times are currently available to registered resort guests, villa owners, residents and their accompanying friends, so golf should be planned as part of a Casa de Campo stay.

For UK golfers, The Links is ideal for a luxury Caribbean golf holiday, combining warm weather, resort convenience and multiple on-site courses in one easy base.

About The Area

Higüey is a great choice for golfers who want to combine Dominican Republic sunshine with culture, local character and easy access to some of the Caribbean’s best golf. Set inland in La Altagracia Province, it offers a different feel from the beach resorts of Punta Cana and Cap Cana, making it a useful base or day-trip stop for travellers who want to see more of the real Dominican Republic between rounds.

The city is best known for the Basílica Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, one of the country’s most important religious landmarks. Its striking modern architecture, huge concrete arch and stained-glass interior make it one of Higüey’s standout sights, and a popular cultural visit for those staying in the east of the island.

For golf, Higüey works best as part of a wider Punta Cana, Cap Cana and La Romana itinerary. Punta Espada in Cap Cana is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course with eight holes playing beside or over the sea, while Corales Golf Course offers a dramatic Tom Fazio design with Caribbean coastline, cliffs, coves and lakes. Further west, Casa de Campo’s Teeth of the Dog is a Pete Dye classic, with seven holes set along the ocean.

Away from the fairways, golfers can enjoy beaches, resort dining, boat trips, local markets, nature parks and Dominican culture. Hashtag Golf Travel can help shape the right Dominican Republic golf holiday around Higüey, Punta Cana, Cap Cana and La Romana, balancing world-class golf with proper Caribbean relaxation.
