About The Area
Les Bons Villers is a quiet municipality in Hainaut, Wallonia, positioned between Charleroi, Brussels and Waterloo. For golfers, it works best as a peaceful Belgian countryside base rather than a big resort town, with easy access to parkland courses, rural scenery and several useful city day trips.
The main local venue is Golf & Hotel de Pierpont, located at Grand Pierpont in Les Bons Villers. The club welcomes visitors and promotes both its Championship Course and stay-and-play hotel options, making it one of the more practical golf bases in this part of Wallonia. The course offers a calm countryside setting with water, open fairways and a relaxed estate feel, making it suitable for golfers who want an enjoyable round without the intensity of a major championship venue.
Nearby, Golf La Bruyère in Sart-Dames-Avelines / Villers-la-Ville adds another strong option. Visit Wallonia describes it as a relaxed, family-friendly club set in typical Walloon-Brabant countryside, with wide, undulating fairways that can become more exposed when the wind picks up. This gives Les Bons Villers good short-break potential, especially for golfers wanting two nearby rounds in a quiet rural setting.
Golf here is best from April to October, with late spring and early autumn usually offering the most comfortable playing conditions.
Off the course, Les Bons Villers is well placed for exploring southern Belgium. Waterloo, Charleroi, Nivelles and Villers-la-Ville are all within reach, while Brussels is close enough for restaurants, museums and sightseeing. The wider area suits travellers who like gentle countryside, local food, abbey ruins and quieter Belgian villages rather than busy city hotels.
For golfers seeking accessible Belgian countryside golf, easy travel links and a relaxed Walloon base between Brussels and Charleroi, Les Bons Villers is a practical and quietly appealing choice.
