About The Area
Phú Quốc is one of Vietnam’s best options for a relaxed beach-and-golf holiday. Known for its long coastline, turquoise water and resort-style beaches, it gives travellers the classic island escape feel without needing to combine several stops. Vietnam’s official tourism site highlights Phú Quốc’s 150 km coastline, with Long Beach stretching for around 20 km, making it ideal for sea-view resorts, sunsets, seafood and downtime between rounds.
The main golf option is Vinpearl Golf Phú Quốc, set in the forested north of the island. Vinpearl describes the course as sitting amid lush primeval forest, with rolling fairways and a peaceful natural setting. It is better suited to golfers who want one scenic island round as part of a wider holiday, rather than those looking for a destination with lots of different courses in one place.
Away from golf, Phú Quốc has plenty of holiday appeal: beaches, snorkelling, diving, night markets, fishing villages, pepper farms, island tours and nature-based exploring. The airport is around 10 km south of Dương Đông, which keeps arrival transfers simple once travellers are on the island.
