Nicklaus designed the course as a player's layout rather than a typical forgiving resort course, giving accomplished golfers plenty to think about from tee to green.

The resort is home to the Golfzon Leadbetter Golf Academy World Headquarters, where private lessons and group instruction are available. Resort guests can use putting greens and a chipping area, while a driving range provides space for full-swing practice.

Further technology includes Club Champion custom fitting and a Golfzon TwoVision indoor simulator at the Nicklaus Clubhouse. The simulator features 24 hitting positions and allows golfers to play more than 200 virtual courses, including Reunion's own three Signature layouts.
