It opened under the Hyatt Regency name on 26 January 2026 following the renovation and rebranding of the former Dom Pedro Vilamoura. The marina, Praia da Falésia and Vilamoura’s restaurants are close by, while Faro Airport is approximately 23km away by road. That combination makes the hotel a convenient base for a short break with several different courses rather than a stay tied to one layout.

The property has 257 fully renovated rooms and suites, with interiors drawing on Algarve colours and materials including greens, blues, sand and terracotta. Options range from king and twin rooms to family and Regency suites, with selected categories adding sea views, terraces or hot tubs. Brasa Coastal Steakhouse leads the food offering with grilled meats, local seafood and an Algarve-influenced menu. The Terrace Pool & Bar serves drinks and lighter dishes beside the outdoor pool during its seasonal opening, while Lume Lobby Lounge moves from coffee and afternoon tea into cocktails and evening entertainment. The surrounding marina adds a much wider choice when guests want to eat away from the hotel.

Active facilities extend beyond golf. There is an outdoor pool, fitness centre, indoor heated pool, yoga areas, padel, pickleball, mini golf, pétanque and beach volleyball, plus a Kids Club and playground. Hyatt’s current hotel page states that its fuller spa and wellness experience is due to open in December 2026, so guests travelling before then should confirm exactly which treatments and wet facilities are available rather than relying on older descriptions of the previous hotel.

The hotel does not have its own golf course. Instead, it provides access to Vilamoura’s established selection, including The Els Club Vilamoura, Old Course Vilamoura, Pinhal, Laguna and Millennium.
