San Lorenzo Golf Course is one of the Algarve’s most memorable championship layouts, combining beautifully presented golf with an exceptional setting inside the protected Ria Formosa Natural Park. Located in the south-eastern corner of Quinta do Lago, the course winds through umbrella pines, freshwater lagoons and saltwater marshes, with views towards the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding nature reserve.

The short fifth offers magnificent views towards the beaches and Atlantic, while the sixth, seventh and eighth bring the Ria Formosa firmly into play.

The demanding par-four 12th is another standout hole, with a narrow fairway and trouble running along its left side. Later, the long par-three 16th requires a strong carry to a shallow green, while the closing hole creates a dramatic finish with water influencing both the drive and approach. Multiple teeing positions allow golfers to select a suitable challenge, but even experienced players will need to think carefully throughout the round.

After golf, visitors can explore the walking trails and birdlife of the Ria Formosa, relax on the beaches around Quinta do Lago or enjoy the area’s excellent restaurants and relaxed outdoor terraces.
