Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort

Tuscany

average rating is 5 out of 5

Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort is a brilliant choice for UK golfers looking for a luxury Italy golf holiday with sunshine, scenery and proper resort comfort. Set near Porto Ercole in Tuscany’s Maremma region, the resort sits between Mediterranean beaches, rolling hills and olive groves, giving it a more coastal, relaxed feel than many inland Italian golf resorts.

The main draw is Argentario Golf Club, Italy’s only PGA National Golf Course since 2019. The 18-hole course plays to a par 71 and measures 6,295 metres, with panoramic holes shaped through olive groves, Mediterranean vegetation and natural Tuscan terrain. It is scenic, but it still asks good questions, with tricky greens, well-placed hazards and sea breezes adding interest throughout the round. The course also hosted the Italian Open in 2025, giving it strong tournament credibility.

For a golf holiday, the resort works well because everything is close at hand: golf, spa, restaurants, fitness, indoor and outdoor pools, and stylish accommodation. Marriott lists the resort with on-site golf, spa, restaurant, bar, fitness centre and both indoor and outdoor pools, making it ideal for couples or groups who want relaxation after each round.

For UK travellers, Argentario is best suited to a longer Tuscany golf break, pairing golf with Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stefano, beaches, food, wine and island day trips. It feels polished, peaceful and very Italian — a strong option for golfers wanting more than just tee times.
