Designed and developed by Michael Dolan, Mount Temple Golf Club opened in 1991 on land that had been farmed by his family for generations. The par-72 course stretches approximately 6,459 yards and makes excellent use of the natural landscape, with undulating fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and challenging elevation changes. Built on an ancient esker formation, the course benefits from excellent natural drainage, making it particularly appealing for golfers seeking enjoyable year-round golf.
One of the standout features of Mount Temple is its wonderfully varied layout. Golfers will encounter challenging par threes, demanding par fours and exciting risk-and-reward par fives throughout their round. The memorable par-four 13th, known locally as Augusta, requires a powerful and accurate drive to avoid a difficult blind approach, while the signature par-five 16th, nicknamed Heartbreak Hill, features a challenging dogleg and an elevated green protected by water. With panoramic views stretching across the surrounding countryside, the course offers plenty of memorable moments.
