About The Area
Wadebridge is a brilliant North Cornwall base for a golf holiday, especially for groups who want coastal golf, great food, beaches and easy exploring. It sits on the River Camel and works perfectly for golfers who want to play some of Cornwall’s best courses without staying somewhere too busy. You are close to Rock, Polzeath, Padstow and the Camel Estuary, so the whole trip has that relaxed Cornish holiday feel.
The standout golf recommendation is St Enodoc Golf Club in nearby Rock. It occupies a superb position beside the Camel Estuary, with Padstow across the water and the Atlantic to the north, and offers two links courses in a natural dune setting. For a wider North Cornwall golf break, we would also look at The Point at Polzeath, which has an 18-hole course above the Camel Estuary with coastal views, practice facilities and a relaxed setting.
Away from golf, Wadebridge is spot on. The Camel Trail is one of the best non-golf activities in the area, giving golfers a largely traffic-free, virtually level route between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. It is ideal for a gentle cycle, a walk, or a proper day out with a lunch stop in Padstow. Visit Cornwall also highlights Wadebridge as a riverside town, with the trail following the estuary and river through some of Cornwall’s most scenic countryside.
Our tip: choose Wadebridge for a Cornwall golf holiday that mixes top-quality links golf with beaches, seafood, cycling and proper holiday atmosphere.
