Ramsdale Park Golf Centre is a varied 36-hole golf venue north of Nottingham, combining a full-length championship course with one of the region’s most impressive par-three layouts. Set in countryside near Calverton, the centre also offers modern practice facilities and visitor tee times, making it a strong addition to a Nottinghamshire golf break.
The main Seely Course is an 18-hole, par-71 layout measuring 6,672 yards. Designed by Hawtree, it makes excellent use of the changing landscape: the opening nine move through attractive parkland before the course climbs into more undulating hillside terrain on the back nine. The mix of elevation changes, water, bunkering and countryside views rewards good positioning as much as outright length.
Several holes stand out. The 155-yard 6th requires an accurate carry over water, while the par-five 13th follows a sweeping dogleg across an undulating fairway. The elevated tee at the 549-yard 15th provides one of the best views on the course, looking across the lake and surrounding woodland. The 455-yard 18th then finishes in front of the clubhouse terrace.
For additional golf, the Lee Course is an unusual 18-hole par-three layout measuring 2,844 yards. Holes range from around 100 to 207 yards, making it ideal for beginners, short-game practice or groups wanting another round without committing to another full championship course.
Practice facilities include a TrackMan Driving Range, professional coaching and a Pro Shop offering equipment and custom fitting. Buggies, electric and pull trolleys and rental clubs are available, while both courses welcome visiting golfers seven days a week.
We recommend Ramsdale Park for mixed-handicap groups and societies wanting plenty of golf in one location. The contrast between the full-length Seely Course and the 18-hole Lee par-three course gives the venue much more variety than a typical single-course golf club.
