Heacham Manor Golf Club offers an unusual blend of links-style and parkland golf close to the North Norfolk coast. Set beside Heacham Manor Hotel and within sight of The Wash, the 18-hole championship course has been designed around the natural landscape, with an undulating links-style front nine giving way to a more established, tree-lined parkland character on the back nine.

From the championship tees, the course stretches to 6,786 yards, with three additional sets of tees at 6,423, 6,072 and 5,614 yards. This flexibility makes Heacham Manor suitable for mixed-handicap groups while still providing a proper test for stronger golfers. Four lakes, two rivers, native planting and carefully positioned hazards mean good course management is important, particularly when the coastal breeze begins to influence club selection.

The signature par-three 7th is one of the standout challenges, requiring a carry of around 144 yards with water dominating the view between tee and green. Elsewhere, creeks, the Heacham River and strategically positioned lakes repeatedly ask golfers to decide whether to attack or take the safer route. The closing 18th is another strong strategic hole, requiring careful positioning around the river before an approach to a demanding green.

Golfers can practise at the nearby Searles Driving Range, while The Pavilion provides a golf shop, restaurant, sports bar and first-floor terrace overlooking the course – an ideal setting for post-round food and drinks.
