The Links Country Park Golf Club is a characterful nine-hole course in West Runton on the North Norfolk coast, combining more than a century of golfing history with undulating terrain and superb views towards the North Sea. The course dates back to 1903 and was designed by five-time Open Champion J.H. Taylor. Rather than forcing the holes onto the landscape, Taylor used the natural contours around Incleborough Hill to create a compact but testing layout. The original course was later extended to 18 holes before wartime use and subsequent changes eventually resulted in the nine-hole course played today.

The current course is a nine-hole, par-33 layout, which can be played twice to create an 18-hole round of par 66. Tight, hilly fairways and tricky greens mean its relatively short length should not be mistaken for an easy test. Elevation changes create plenty of uneven lies, while the coastal setting and exposed sections can bring the wind into play. Most importantly, the sea can be seen from every hole, giving the course a strong sense of place.

Visitors are welcome, with competitions available over both nine and 18 holes for members. PGA professional coaching is also available for golfers looking to work on anything from their short game to longer shots. After the round, the Hole in One Sports Bar & Grill provides food and drinks alongside views across the course and West Runton common.
