Cumberwell Country Cottages

Bradford on Avon

average rating is 4 out of 5

Cumberwell Park offers a relaxed self-catering golf break in the Wiltshire countryside, combining on-site cottage accommodation with 54 holes of golf. Located between Bradford-on-Avon and Bath, it is particularly well suited to golf groups, families and mixed parties wanting more space and flexibility than a traditional hotel provides.

Cumberwell Country Cottages are situated within the grounds of the golf club. Nine converted and purpose-built cottages accommodate between two and ten guests, with smaller one and two-bedroom properties alongside larger cottages suitable for groups. All bedrooms are en suite, while each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, living area, complimentary Wi-Fi and a private patio with garden furniture. Underfloor heating and flexible arrival days also make the accommodation practical throughout the year.

The main attraction is Cumberwell Park Golf Club, where five full-length nine-hole courses can be combined to create different 18-hole rounds. The Red, Yellow, Blue, Orange and White courses move through a mixture of rolling parkland, woodland, streams, lakes and open downland. This variety allows groups to play several rounds without repeatedly facing the same layout.

A separate nine-hole Par Three Course provides an additional option for beginners, families or experienced golfers wanting to sharpen their short game. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting greens, a dedicated short-game area and indoor TrackMan simulators.

Dining is available at the clubhouse’s Wraxall Bar and Café, which serves an all-day selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. As the cottages are self-catering, groups can choose between preparing their own meals and eating at the golf club or nearby restaurants.

Bradford-on-Avon is approximately one mile away, while Bath’s Roman Baths, Georgian architecture, shops and restaurants are within six miles. This gives non-golfers and rest-day visitors plenty to explore.
