Golfclub Kitzbüheler Alpen Westendorf

Kitzbühel

average rating is 4 out of 5

Golfclub Kitzbüheler Alpen Westendorf is a beautiful choice for an Austria golf holiday, especially for golfers who want alpine scenery without an overly punishing mountain course. Set on the sunny plateau of Westendorf in the Kitzbühel Alps, the course opened in 2014 and quickly became known as one of the region’s most peaceful and attractive layouts. The club describes it as an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 5,882 metres, set away from the main tourist routes with a calm, Scandinavian-style feel.

The course sits around 1.3km from Westendorf village centre, in the Holzham/Aunerwald district, and is laid out at an altitude of 788 metres. Despite the alpine setting, it is relatively flat and easy to walk, which makes it especially appealing for holiday golfers who want mountain views without a brutally hilly round.

For golfers, Westendorf offers a lovely balance of playability and scenery. Wide views towards the Hohe Salve and the Tyrolean mountains give the round a proper holiday feel, while the championship layout, practice facilities, chipping area, putting green and bunker area provide enough depth for serious golfers too.

As part of a Kitzbühel golf holiday, Westendorf pairs perfectly with Golfclub Kitzbühel, Schwarzsee-Reith, Eichenheim and Rasmushof, creating a varied alpine itinerary. Hashtag Golf Travel can help arrange the right flights, hotels, transfers and tee times, making the trip smooth from arrival to final putt.

About The Area

Haus im Ennstal is a strong alpine base for an Austria golf holiday, especially for travellers who want mountain views, fresh air and a quieter village feel close to Schladming. Set in the Schladming-Dachstein region, it gives golfers access to the Enns Valley, Dachstein scenery, Hauser Kaibling and plenty of summer activities such as hiking, cycling, archery, trail running and mountain lifts.

The main golf draw is Golfclub Schladming-Dachstein, formerly known as Dachstein Tauern Golf & Country Club, located in Haus im Ennstal. It is an 18-hole course designed by Bernhard Langer, sitting at around 750 metres above sea level. The course is known for excellent conditioning, sunny valley scenery and water features that give it a surprisingly resort-style feel for an alpine location.

For a wider itinerary, the Schladming-Dachstein area also gives access to other regional courses, including Schloss Pichlarn, Radstadt, Ennstal-Weissenbach and Windischgarsten, making Haus useful for golfers who want more than one round without moving hotels every night.

Away from golf, Haus im Ennstal works well for walkers, couples and mixed-interest groups. The Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card can include access to over 100 experiences, including mountain railway rides, museums, swimming pools and leisure activities, which is handy for non-golf days.

For Hashtag Golf Travel customers, Haus im Ennstal is best suited to a scenic summer alpine golf escape, a quieter alternative to Kitzbühel or Zell am See, or part of a wider Austria golf itinerary. It is not a nightlife-heavy destination, but for mountain scenery, peaceful hotels and a proper alpine course, it is a very good fit.
