Golfclub Mieminger Plateau
Innsbruck
Golfclub Mieminger Plateau is a superb choice for an Austria golf holiday, especially for golfers who want mountain scenery, peaceful surroundings and plenty of variety in one place. Set on the sunny Mieminger Plateau at the foot of the Mieming mountain range, the club sits at around 880–885 metres above sea level, with fresh alpine air, wide views and a calm setting away from city noise.
The venue offers 27 holes, made up of an 18-hole Championship Course and a shorter 9-hole Park Course. The Championship Course was designed by Keith Preston and laid out sensitively through around 70 hectares of pine forest, creating a spacious, natural round where many holes feel nicely separated from each other. From the back tees it measures around 6,599 metres, so it has plenty of bite for stronger players, while multiple tee options help make it enjoyable for a wider range of golfers.
For holiday golfers, Mieminger Plateau has that lovely Tyrolean mix of quality golf and proper relaxation. The sunny, mild location allows golf from mid-March to late November, and the TrackMan Range can also be used in winter. The club also has a pro shop, restaurant, driving range, equipment rental and buggy rental, making it easy for travelling golfers.
As part of a Tyrol golf holiday, Mieminger Plateau pairs beautifully with Seefeld-Wildmoos, Golf Club Zillertal-Uderns and the Kitzbühel courses. Hashtag Golf Travel can help arrange the right flights, hotels, transfers and tee times for a smooth alpine golf escape.

About The Area
Zell am See is a superb alpine base for an Austria golf holiday, especially for travellers who want lake views, mountain scenery and a proper summer-holiday feel around the golf. Set beside Lake Zell, with the Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn nearby, it offers that classic Austrian mix of fresh air, scenery, smart hotels, lakeside cafés and outdoor activities. Salzburg Airport is the easiest arrival point, with Zell am See-Kaprun’s official travel information placing the region around 80 km from Salzburg Airport and around 200 km from Munich Airport.
The main golf attraction is Golfclub Zell am See-Kaprun-Saalbach, one of the strongest golf facilities in the Austrian Alps. The official tourism site describes it as the only “Leading Golf Course” with 36 holes in the Alps, while the club offers two 18-hole courses in a wide valley setting surrounded by mountain views.
Away from the fairways, Zell am See has loads of wider holiday value. Lake Zell is at the heart of the region, with swimming, sailing, surfing and boat trips available in summer, while hiking, biking and mountain trips add plenty for non-golfers or rest days. The region also promotes summer activities around the lake, mountains and Kitzsteinhorn, so it works well for couples, groups and mixed-interest travellers.
For Hashtag Golf Travel customers, Zell am See is best suited to a summer alpine golf escape, a golf-and-wellness break, or a wider Austria itinerary with Salzburg, Kitzbühel or Innsbruck. It is not a beach destination, obviously, but for clean mountain air, lake scenery and easy multi-round golf, it is a cracking option.
