Pula Golf Club

Son Servera

average rating is 4 out of 5

Pula Golf has developed from a 1995 Mallorcan layout into a demanding modern course shaped by José María Olazábal. The redesign, completed between 2004 and 2006, created an 18-hole par 72 measuring 6,246 metres from the back tees. It has since staged European Tour competition on multiple occasions, yet it remains part of an intimate resort rather than a vast tournament complex. That combination gives visiting golfers a serious round with the convenience of accommodation only a short walk away.

Olazábal’s routing is notable for presenting the target clearly. On 14 holes the green can be seen from the tee, and on the remaining four it becomes visible from the second shot. Visibility does not make the decisions automatic: players still need to select the correct side of fairways, avoid well-placed trouble and leave approaches from useful angles. The course is long enough to test confident drivers, while its changes of direction and approach demands ensure that iron play and distance control remain important.

The layout has hosted eight editions of European Tour events according to the resort, including the Mallorca Classic, and has welcomed players such as Olazábal, Sergio García, Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Rafa Nadal. Holiday golfers do not need a tournament game to enjoy it, but choosing the right tees is essential. From suitable markers, visible targets and varied hole shapes make the round engaging; from the back, the length and strategic demands are intended for highly capable players.

Practice provision is unusually strong for a small resort. There is a spacious two-tier driving range, with one level covered, plus two putting greens and a pitching green. TrackMan Range technology provides shot data and interactive practice, while the academy offers multilingual tuition for beginners and established players. Equipment hire, club fitting and repair services add useful support for travellers who do not want to bring a full set.

Pula’s countryside setting near Son Servera gives the course a calm east-Mallorca atmosphere, and the S’Era de Pula restaurant makes a natural post-round stop. Maintenance dates, competition closures and exact inclusions should be checked for each package, particularly where a room category advertises unlimited golf or spa access.

For a focused Mallorca golf holiday, Pula works both as the principal course and as part of a wider itinerary with Canyamel, Capdepera or Son Servera. We can arrange the order of play, tee selection and resort stay so the trip combines a technically credible course with the relaxed pace of Pula Golf Resort.
