Club de Golf Almerimar is a welcoming 27-hole golf complex on the Costa de Almería, combining generous fairways, palm-lined scenery and an excellent coastal location. Situated within Almerimar Resort near El Ejido, it is the only course in the province of Almería to offer 27 holes, giving returning golfers plenty of variety across a longer Spanish golf holiday.

The original course opened in 1976 and was designed by Gary Player and Rob Kirby. Its three loops of nine are laid out across predominantly flat terrain, making the course comfortable to walk while allowing different combinations to be used for an 18-hole round. Multiple teeing options help make Almerimar suitable for beginners, mixed-handicap groups and experienced players looking for a more demanding test from the back tees.

Wide fairways create a relatively forgiving impression from the tee, but the course becomes more strategic as golfers approach the greens. Six lakes, numerous doglegs, bright bunkers and large, quick putting surfaces place an emphasis on careful positioning and confident approach play. The island green at the 12th is one of the most memorable features, where distance control and commitment are essential if golfers are to keep the ball dry. Coastal breezes can also affect club selection, adding further variety from one round to the next.

Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping area and practice bunker, while the golf school offers tuition for players of different ages and abilities. After the round, the spacious clubhouse includes a restaurant, cafeteria, social areas and a pro shop, providing a comfortable place to relax and compare scorecards.

Away from golf, visitors can stroll around Almerimar Marina, relax on the nearby beach or explore the protected landscapes of Punta Entinas-Sabinar Natural Park. The area is also well suited to sailing, watersports and relaxed evenings enjoying seafood and Mediterranean dishes beside the coast.
