Hôtel Barrière L’Hôtel du Golf Deauville is a four-star golf resort overlooking the fairways, Normandy countryside and Seine Bay from the heights of Mont-Canisy. With 27 holes beside the hotel and another Barrière golf venue nearby, it is one of Deauville’s most convenient bases for a multi-round golf break.

The hotel has 170 rooms and suites, decorated in warm colours inspired by the surrounding countryside. Accommodation ranges from comfortable rooms overlooking rural Normandy to spacious Executive Rooms and suites with golf or sea views. Connecting rooms and family suites are also available, making the hotel suitable for couples, societies and mixed-generation groups.

Immediately beside the hotel, Golf Barrière Deauville occupies 70 hectares and provides two contrasting layouts. The principal Diane Barrière Course is an 18-hole, par-71 design measuring 5,919 metres. Originally opened in 1929, it appears relatively generous from the tee, but elevated terrain, strategically positioned hazards and changeable sea winds can quickly complicate the round.

The Lucien Barrière Course is a nine-hole, par-36 layout measuring 2,777 metres. Dense rough, quick greens and numerous bunkers ensure it provides a worthwhile test rather than simply a short resort course. The venue was designed through the work of Tom Simpson and Henry Cotton and has previously hosted the Open de France.

Practice facilities include a Toptracer driving range with 20 covered bays, a putting green, practice bunker and approach area. Tuition is available through the Barrière Golf Academy, while the renovated clubhouse provides a relaxed setting for lunch or drinks after a round.

Additional golf can be arranged at Golf Barrière Saint-Julien, where the 18-hole Le Vallon Course and nine-hole Le Bocage Course offer a more rural experience among the orchards of the Pays d’Auge.

Hotel facilities include the myBlend Spa, sauna, hammam, fitness centre, seasonal heated outdoor pool, tennis and padel courts. Le Lassay serves Normandy-inspired cuisine overlooking the countryside, while Le Green offers drinks and lighter dishes.
